DirWatcher is a free, lightweight and portable software developed by Wes Jones, it allows to watch any specified directory for changes, when a new file is added, an existing file is renamed/modified/deleted/removed, DirWatcher will catch and report the changes instantly.
DirWatcher uses the Windows API ReadDirectoryChangesW to retrieve information which represents the modifications within the specified folder.
- Allows to watch 2 root directories simultaneously.
- Supports watching subfolders.
- DirWatcher could detect the following events: File name changed, folder name changed, size changed, attributes changed, last write time changed, last access date changed, file or folder created, security permission changed.
- Include or exclude files with filters using wildcard characters( check full path or partial path, check file name only ), you can separate multiple patterns with semicolon.
DirWatcher works on Windows 7 and Windows XP, etc.
